“I think that the best thing we can do for our children is to allow them to do things for themselves, allow them to be strong, allow them to experience life on their own terms, allow them to take the subway... let them be better people, let them believe more in themselves.”

Charity begins at home……

A child listens to his/her mother’s voice initially and starts responding. So from the initial sounds to sentence formation, from crawling to walking they learn from home. So our first school is our home. Parents play a vital role in a child’s overall development. As a parent, our first objective should be to encourage our child to become a good human being and then to take care of his/her holistic development.

The ongoing Pandemic COVID 19 has affected the tiny tots in various ways. They are not able to bloom in the way they should. A child should be allowed to explore the surroundings but they are not allowed to go to the park and playgrounds. Here the parents should be more aware and updated that how they can tackle the situation by showing them videos of our surroundings and encouraging them to draw nature scenes and describe nature.

Another concern during the COVID 19 situation is that the bones of children are not developing properly due to a lack of physical activities. So regular physical exercises are very important. Parents should do the exercises at home regularly with their children to develop their gross motor skills.

We need to allow our children towards self-directed learning. They should not impose unfulfilled dreams and aims at their children. As a parent, we should encourage our children to experience life in their own terms, to be more confident so that they can lead their lives with courage, peace and harmony. A child should be aware of the social responsibilities, cultural values, duties and responsibilities. Education is not about textbooks, learning happens beyond the four walls of the classroom. Real-life experiences shape the personality of a child.

As a parent we must take care of the emotions and expressions of our children. They should express themselves at each moment. We should never suppress their emotions. Encourage children to question and find answers.

At last but not the least Parent-Teacher regular interaction for a child’s overall development is an essential part. Participate in the education of your child with the teacher.

To Conclude:- ”The true character of a society is revealed in how it treats its children”
